Project Coordinator
POSITION
Summary:
Preparing, scheduling, coordinating and monitoring the assigned engineering projects for the Lenox and Norwalk locations.
Monitoring compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.
This position has the responsibility to comply with safety work rules at all times as well as an obligation to reinforce Safety as a Core Value.
Ensures that all policies, procedures and activities, related to Food Safety & Quality, are followed and complied with uniformly, in an effort to reduce product and process variability.

We are working around the clock to keep inventory flowing to our retailers and to help feed the world.

Responsibilities:
Plan and implement projects that support Safety and Food Safety effortsHelp define project scope, goals and deliverablesDefine tasks and required resourcesAllocate project resourcesLead contractor orientationTrack and report on project deliverables:
Project scope, budget, and milestonesSafety results of projectContractor expectations and resultsRegulatory complianceProject startup (OEE, scrap, quality, maintenance cost)Present to stakeholders reports on progress as well as problems and solutionsImplement and manage change when necessary to meet project outputsSupport and direct teamLead and maintain Request for Change and Management of Change ProcessLead quality assurance, coordinate with Safety, Quality and CI TeamsSupport plant Maintenance efforts Downtime analysisOEE improvement projectsScrap reductionActive participation on plant safety team.
(SRMP)Responsible for Food Safety and Food Quality of MFI products.
Assumes personal responsibility to insure a safe and healthy workplace for everyone.
Adhere to all safety policies and procures and, in corporate safety and health in all jobs and tasks.
Adhere to Quality work practices, follow GMP's, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained.
Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety and quality.
Ensures regulatory compliance at all times.
Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPEREINCE REQUIRED:
AA in Engineering, Operations, or Business Management, or applicable technical knowledge or Trade School required.
Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in industrial operations, plant operations, maintenance, utilities and/or related field.
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Competent in using Microsoft Office & CMMS System (Preferably SAP)AutoCAD & MS Project.
Experience in the installation and repair of mechanical equipment required.
Diagnose and repair of all machinery and process malfunctions, must be fluent in mechanical troubleshooting, electrical troubleshooting a plus.
Read and decipher mechanical drawings, schematics, and piping diagrams.
Proficient in knowledge of bearings, pulleys, chain drives, belt drives, and lubricants standards and applications.
Experience and knowledge of personal/process control computers, programmable logic controllers (PLC), and Networking devices a plus.
Allen Bradley experiences a plus.
Good math, oral/written communication and interpersonal skillsProven analytical, planning, problem-solving, and project management skills.
Ability to be flexible and shift priorities in a constantly changing, fast-paced work environment.
Highly effective multi-tasker; resourceful with a get-it-done, can-do attitude self-starter.
Skilled in developing troubleshooting programs and job aids.
Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with all team peers and customers.
Maintain accurate records and data.
Ability to travel for training, continuous improvement activities, and projects, up to 25% travel.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to endure on a daily basis, excessive walking, standing, crouching, lifting (excess of 60lbs), twisting, climbing, reaching.
